The work explores the transformation of a solid block of glass through sculpting. The face gradually emerges from the mass, while areas of transparency, polished surfaces, and the remaining raw glass reveal different qualities of the material.

Rather than concealing the original block, the work retains its presence, allowing the sculpted form and the material from which it emerges to exist simultaneously.
