Shelter

2024
Kiln-formed glass, cast glass, mixed media
26 cm diameter × 12 cm H
Unique work

The work explores the fragile boundary between protection and exposure. A nest-like structure formed from kiln-formed glass surrounds two human figures, creating a space that suggests refuge while remaining transparent and inherently vulnerable.

The work uses the contradictory qualities of glass—strength and fragility, enclosure and visibility—to reflect on shelter as a place that can hold life, loss, and the possibility of renewal at the same time.
